Robson Brown talks social with NE starts-ups

March 26, 2014

Our intrepid Digital Account Manager, Louise Elsdon, has been out and about in the North East delivering social media training to start-ups on behalf of business support organization, Project North East.  And she can do the same for you.

Lou uses her ten years of experience as a Digital Account Manager to explain how small businesses and start-ups can make social media work for them, and how they can manage Facebook and Twitter so that it doesn’t become all-consuming.

A common misconception is that social media will take over your life, leaving little time for anything else. The reality is that with effective time management and free tools such as Hootsuite it can be easily managed and is a great way of creating awareness for your business.

In her presentation Lou explains how Facebook pages work and why businesses should use them, rather than profiles, as well as explaining key features and terms for Facebook and Twitter. She also gives delegates tips on the rules of engagement.

PNE Group Manager Melissa Middleton said “Louise was great.  She instantly gelled with the group and took them through much needed and valuable information in a really interesting way. Great to see her in action and can’t wait until next time.”
